Whether you are taking a long family vacation or just a day trip planning is essential to a safe and enjoyable trip . That does not change when planning a trip to an Amusement Park. Amusement parks are just that, parks that have rides and attractions for everyone. However, if there is not appropriate planning and considerations, the day can turn into a miserable experience. Since a trip like this is usually an event saved for special occasions or when you have the means to splurge a little bit, you want the day to fun and a good time for everyone. So, take the time and the money to plan a great amusement park day trip.
Since many amusement parks including Disney, have outdoor activities they are open for operation during the summer season. In combination, the heat of the summer, metal and concrete that surrounds you when visiting an amusement park, can make the experience a very hot one. So, you have to stand outside all day in lines that seem to go on forever without any shade to help shield you from the unforgiving sun, getting sunburned can be an issue. One way to help keep this from happening is by wearing your sunscreen and trying to stay hydrated. Water is one of the few items that you are allowed to bring with you inside of an amusement park. However, they will have no problem selling you a $3 bottle of water.
Other than the cost of tickets to Disney, amusement parks, theme parks, and water parks, and the abundance of people, the long lines for the rides are one of the biggest complaints. When the ride is a big or new attraction the lines are even worse. One trick that might help with the long lines is to ride during lunch while most of the people are visiting the restaurants in the park. You can always plan your lunch a little later or earlier. Another way is to just go the rides that have a shorter line. They are still really good rides and when you get off of them the lines to the other rides will have decreased.
Even though there is a lot to complain about when visiting an amusement park including high prices, the day is usually enjoyed by everyone. There isn’t much that can compare with the adrenaline rush of riding the fastest rides or being able to spend the day eating cotton candy and all of the other goodies offered.
