Sea World

If you’re in search of your next great family vacation destination area then Sea World located in San Diego California may be just what you are looking for. This fantastic and entertaining amusement park offers one-of-a-kind aquatic shows, family amusement and great entertainment. These attractions are both educational and fun for children and adults alike. This aquatic themed park has attracted more than 130 million visitors since opening its doors in 1964. It is San Diego’s number one tourist attraction and one of the most popular marine animal life parks in the world. It is home to over 10,000 animals of which 16 species are marine mammals, 430 species of fish and more than 100 species of birds.

Shows include Dolphin Discovery where you can be entertained and awed by these intelligent sea mammals. There is also the Shark Encounter where you can view hundreds of different sharks. At the Rocky Point Preserve you can watch the dolphins, learn about their habits and have the chance to feed them. Other notable shows include Penguin Encounter and the Wild Arctic. For hands-on interactive fun for the children you can visit Happy Harbor where kids dress up as pirates, play in the sand and climb rope ladders. At the California Tide-pool you can even have the opportunity to touch a live starfish. If you’re looking for a thrill ride the Shipwreck Rapids can provide just that, an exciting ride through rough waters that goes through an underground cavern. When you’re ready to relax you can stop and have a snack or even a meal at the Shipwreck Reef Cafe.

For a birds eye view of the park, as well as San Diego, you can take a six minute ride to the top of the Sea world Sky Tower. This is a 320 foot tall Observation tower that ascends at a rate of 150 ft./m while continuously spinning. The park is also home to three polar bears, two from a zoological Park in Germany and one from Buffalo New York. You can find great deals on tickets shopping around on line.
