Six Flags Magic Mountain

Six Flags Magic Mountain, a great family theme park, is located in Valencia, California, East of Los Angeles. It has an impressive lineup of extreme rides and roller coasters  including  Batman The Rider, Superman The Escape, Colossus, Déjà Vu, Dive Devil, Goldrusher, Goliath, Ninja, Revolution, Scream, Tatsu, Terminator Salvation, Viper, X2  and other rides for thrill seekers. With fast scary rides for teenagers and adults and a great range of attractions for younger visitors, it makes the perfect location for a family day out.

This theme park is a great weekend activity to keep the kids busy on weekends and school holidays. As well as the extensive range of thrill rides there are also parades and firework displays at certain times of the year. Discounted tickets are available for children and kids under the age of two go free. Families living in the area can take advantage of the season pass tickets which reduce the price of entry for each visit and allow admission to all the Six Flags parks.

This is a large park so be prepared to spend the whole day and do lots of walking to see all it has to offer. There is a cable car service that will take you to the highest point at the center of the park from which you can visit the Japanese garden as a respite from the thrills and spills. There are the usual fast food restaurants situated within the park so there should be plenty of choice for every member of the family. Be aware that lines can be long at popular times and it can be a good idea to visit the park on weekdays when it is open as it can get very busy at weekends.

To visit Six Flags Magic Mountain, take the I-405 or I-5 towards Sacramento and exit at the Magic Mountain Parkway. Parking is free and tickets can be bought at the door although it is cheaper to buy them in advance from the website.
